Unveiling the Magic of Chinese New Year: A Spring Festival Special

As the Chinese New Year approaches, we are excited to share with you the traditions, stories, and heartfelt moments that make this festival so special. With just 7 days left, let’s dive into how we spend the holidays and why we close production early to celebrate this meaningful time of the year.

Why Do We Close Production Early?

For many workers, the Spring Festival is not just a holiday, but a precious opportunity to reunite with their families. Most of them leave their hometowns and travel thousands of miles to work in distant cities, returning home only once or twice a year. The Spring Festival is their most important moment to reconnect with their loved ones.

There is a saying in China: “Whether you are rich or poor, go home for the New Year.” This phrase profoundly reflects the significance of the Spring Festival in Chinese culture. To honor this tradition, our workers begin their holidays before the Spring Festival. During this time, train stations and highways are filled with people eager to return home. Although the journey is long and tiring, it is also filled with warmth and anticipation.

FunWestDoll’s Commitment to Sharing Happiness

This year, FunWestDoll is taking a further step to share the joy of the holidays with all of you. We believe that in this cold season, everyone deserves warmth and happiness. As we prepare to celebrate, we want to bring you along on this journey and share the traditions that make Chinese New Year so unique.

How We Celebrate Chinese New Year

During Spring Festival, we embrace a variety of traditions to welcome good fortune and happiness:

  • Dressing Up: Everyone wears new outfits, often with red elements, as red symbolizes luck and prosperity in Chinese culture.
  • Decorating Homes: We adorn our homes with Spring Festival couplets, Chinese knots, lanterns, and other festive decorations to create a joyful atmosphere.
  • Family Gatherings: Families come together to share meals, laugh, and relax. Girls often gather to chat, eat snacks, and enjoy each other’s company.
  • Lucky Money: Those who are unmarried and under 30 years old are likely to receive “hongbao” (lucky money) from elders, a fun tradition that brings smiles to everyone’s faces.
