Behind the Scenes: No Magic, Just 100% Effort

Photography: Capturing a Moment Forever.

Doll photography is an art form that brings dolls to life through careful preparation and creativity. It’s not just a snapshot; it’s a process that involves styling, makeup artistry, costume selection, scene setup, and the interplay of light and shadow. This process can be very realistic or surreal, depending on the character we are creating.

We value art and originality, but we also learn from other traditional art forms. Human progress is all about learning! Even giants like Elon Musk and Boston Dynamics haven’t yet created products as lifelike as those in “Westworld.” Our goal at FUNWESTDOLL is to create dolls as realistic as those in “Westworld.” Though we’re not tech giants, we express and showcase the limitless potential of our dolls through photography.

Before shooting a set of shop photos, we gather and study a variety of reference photos. We then craft our scenes by hand, showcasing the range of movements our dolls can achieve and identifying areas for improvement.

This article is inspired by some discussions on TDF where our images were questioned, with some saying they were AI-edited. We want to show the real effort and dedication behind our work. Join us for a look behind the scenes:

Part 1 The photographer accidentally stepped on broken glass used as a prop, leaving behind blood stains while shooting FWD045 Assos.

Part 2 We aim to pose our dolls in striking ways to cater to enthusiasts who enjoy detailed setups.

Part 3 Our makeup artist strives for ever more realistic looks, adding life and emotion to each doll’s face.

Part 4 This bruise was from a prop hitting the makeup artist while trying to pose the doll in a challenging position.

Part 5 Here are some of our hand-made props.

Part 6 This photo shows over fifty prop coins scattered for the perfect shot.

Part 7 FunWestDoll FS Series dolls come in four skin tones to match the different roles, emotions, styles, and feelings you want. Lighting plays a crucial role in making our dolls appear lifelike, and we aim to give each doll a unique identity, helping customers find exactly what they need

Part 8 This is the set we build, which is often shot once and then torn down.

Moving forward, we plan to use more natural light to showcase our dolls in a way that mimics the human eye, continuously striving for realism and authenticity.

Part 9 The photo you see was taken with cell phone. Isn’t it incredibly realistic?

We believe that the perfection of our sex dolls is the true measure of perfection! Each set of photos comes with behind-the-scenes videos and pictures to show our customers the authenticity of our work. For more information, please contact us by email or social media.

Part 10 Lastly, our photographers do use Photoshop, but only to remove elements not part of the doll itself, like support stands, strings for floating props, or private info like license plates.

We aren’t perfect, but we strive to be better every time. Thank you for being with us on this journey!
