Order process and arrival

This started back in November 2024 when I told Charlotte of FWD which doll I would like, including the options I was considering. I also had a few questions about options I was not sure about, like freckles and body make-up. She replied with some clear answers, photos and additional recommendations. She also showed their new option: soft cheeks. Clear info, making it possible to come to a final order quickly. Early December I received the factory photos and vids.

Unpacking

As usual, the carrier didn’t take notice of any of the “this side up” signs. The package was standing up in their van. But the packing was excellent, the doll couldn’t move inside the box, so there’s no transport damage at all.
Here are a few images from the unpacking:

First impressions

I have to admit, the first thing I noticed was the softness of her breasts. Softer than any other doll I had touched before. It’s not just fun for play, it makes it also possible to have more realistic photos, like pushing them up a bit or squeezing them together with her arms.

Body make-up and freckles are done really well. Freckles clearly visible but subtle. Body painting includes veins. Both add to realism, which is important to me as my dolls are mainly models for photography -it looks like Cherie is a supermodel

Aren’t there any critics? Sure, all dolls have something that may be improved. For this doll, the borderline between the arms/legs and the hard hands/feet is quite visible. Maybe because of the wheat skin colour, as the skin at this borderline is a bit lighter. And as a minor detail, her belly button may have a more realistic look.

Posing the doll

Cherie is a good poser. Not always easy, as some joints are quite stiff. But I like that, she will hold her poses. When doing standing poses, you don’t have to be afraid that her weight will bend her knees. The hard hands with articulated fingers are great, can do poses, hold things.
I’m writing this review having this doll for only a few weeks. Review on joints should be done after 6 months or a year. Right now, after some first photo shoots, I’m happy about posing her.

Touch and feel and more

Did I already mention her breasts -wow, they’re soft! Body softness is fine, like nowadays you expect of a high-end silicone doll. Softness and feel of her arms and her legs are really nice. I also like the shape of her thighs, not that thin. Oh you want to know about her privates too. They look good, they feel good.
And then there’s always the question, when carrying her, what does she really weight. I measured 34 kg including head.

Conclusion

Cherie has been shown on CoverDoll January blog! I was concerned how will Cherie look in wheat skin tone. When I saw the pictures posted by Nescio, the concern gone. She is still charming in this stunning skin color. FunWestDoll will continue to post the real review here. Stay tuned.
